What You Should Know Before You Buy VPN Services.
- Something to keep in Mind, VPNs don't provide Security. They're just a glorified proxy.
- VPN's can protect your traffic on Public Wi-Fi, which Wi-Fi can be inherently dangerous to use.
- These applications may allow you to safely browse online without being tracked
- These applications allow you to change your IP address.
- You can use a VPN on the Internet with your favorite platforms and services.
- VPN's work best in point to point applications, like on company computer tied to a company server.
If you live in the United States, you should really think about the VPN provider that you are planning to use as all VPN providers are not the same.
Why we say this?
Some VPN providers are not necessarily as trustworthy as they claim to be. Some of these VPN Companies outside the United States operate on their countries terms. Some of the countries may be socialist or even communist.
You need to be concerned about a potential security compromise when choosing a VPN companies because these companies are under the jurisdiction of the nations that they are doing business in and that could jeopardize your information and security. Another issue is that some of these countries could legally subpoena the VPN companies for their traffic history.
Another issue, some of these companies operate on their own terms, which they could have bias toward a U.S. business, the United States, political parties, or even our own president. These companies could also have bias toward other country businesses we do business with and/or towards our allies.
Its important to have a trustworthy VPN provider that works hard to do their jobs to protect you, your information and doesn't push their political opinions, agenda, or their standards on you unknowingly. Its important that the companies don't work with other companies or search engines like Google in order to censor information about companies, government, politicians, other anything else that they don't like.
Why we say this?
VPN companies do have influence over other companies that are listed in search engines and can sometimes purposely censor or negativity influence your decision over what sites you will visit and see. We have provided some examples for you to see, in what we ran into when using a so-called leader in VPN industry. We were not impressed to say the least and could see the potential danger of some of these VPN providers.
Remember that VPN providers specifically seeks out those who are looking for privacy. So, we all need to think about this, if you were a hacker, wouldn't you want to find those people with interesting traffic who are trying to seek privacy? Its more likely that a VPN provider could be malicious, a honeypot, or even government entity that is spying on you or a business.
You also need to remember that when using a VPN, your traffic is only encrypted to the VPN provider and back. After your traffic leaves the VPN provider its no longer encrypted, so you need to be aware this. Another thing to remember, your VPN provider can see and mess with all your traffic.
So, when should you use a VPN?
On public Wi-Fi networks or when you know that an ISP is using MITM (man-in-the-middle), or when you are trying to circumvent non-government-sanctioned adversaries. Other than this, VPN's are almost worthless.
What do we recommend?
Use Wireguard or using SSL/TLS and HTTPS for your centralized services or end to end encryption for social or P2P applications.

Who is Nord VPN®?
As of 2024, Nord VPN® is a Lithuanian VPN service that is owned and operated NordVPN S.A.. It is part of Nord Security. The company was established in 2012 by childhood friends Tomas Okman and Eimantas Sabaliauskas.
Their applications are used on Microsoft Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, Android TV, and tvOS operating systems.
Nord VPN® advertises that their country of jurisdiction is Panama, because Panama doesn't have mandatory data retention laws and censorship laws like Russia.
We experienced a serious security issue with this provider and we also found others on the internet who experienced similar issues too, but in our peer review of this provider, we basing our opinion on what we personal found. We paid for a three year contract with Nord VPN®, when we contacted the VPN provider about the problem of legit businesses being tagged as virus sites in web searches on DuckDuckGo, Google, and other search engines, Nord VPN® blew us off by repeatedly asking what the issue was after we provided detailed information in our ticket of what was happened and we also sent snapshot photographs of the issue. It appears the company is tagging right wing or Republican businesses and politicians they don't like. We even asked for our money back and we got the blow off again.
Here an example of a post that was on Peer Reviewed Politics, which highlights a search engine listing that was tagged by NORD VPN:

Voter fraud is real.

Especially in Houston.

The Judge hearing the case ordered a redo of the election.

Harris County, TX: BREAKING NEWS:
Peer Reviewed Politics: On June 15, 2024, the 3-term Texas Governor Greg Abbott declared that "Voter fraud
is real, especially in Houston." Governor Abbott goes on to say in a post on X.com, “The court has found that
1,430 illegal votes were cast in the race for the 180th District Court.” The Governor continued to state, "We must
end voter fraud."
Most folks know that voter fraud is becoming a serious issue in our elections, but the courts have been unlikely to involve themselves in these disputes and the Democrat party knows this. Election integrity and security has been at the forefront after the 2020 election. This mainly do to Former President Trump and his administration legally contesting the 2020 election. Many of lapdog media, (AKA Main Stream Media) and their associates bark about that there is no widespread voter fraud going on in our elections, but yet election workers come forward and audits show different. Even when workers come forward or audits prove otherwise, the courts are still unlikely to hear these cases.
In this case, Tami Pierce who contested the 449-vote loss to an incumbent Democrat DaSean A. Jones in January 2023, was able to get the court to listen, but the case was delayed for nearly a year by a motion to dismiss filed by the incumbent Judge Jones in the 180th District Court judicial race. After an lengthy appeal, which was filed by Jones in the Court of Appeals For the First District of Texas asking for Motion to Dismiss Tami Pierce's' lawsuit, whereas the District court refused to dismiss her complaint.
On November 16, 2023, the Court of Appeals Justices Goodman, Rivas-Molloy, and Amparo Guerra, which signed the courts opinion, found in favor of Tami Pierce, affirming the trial court’s order denying Jones’s TCPA motion to dismiss and the Appeals Court also affirmed the trial court’s finding that Pierce was also entitled to attorney’s fees and costs, because Jones’s motion was frivolous.

the Appeal's Court Opinion

On Wednesday, May 15, 2024, the District Court of Harris County, Texas Judge David Peeples issued a Judgment in the Election Contest in favor of Tami Pierce, ruling that the true outcome of the election could not be determined and he ordered a new election.
According to the judgment: The court had found there were 1430 illegal votes, which were cast in the race for the 180th District Court, and it was not realistic or feasible to determine which candidate had received those votes. The court has found that a net margin of 321 votes (1146 to 825) were cast for Jones over Pierce in the extended one hour of voting on Election Day, which the court has found resulted from an official mistake by the Harris County Elections Administration Office.
The court also entered a monetary damage judgment against Jones and ordered him to pay Tami Pierce $66,000 in attorney’s fees and court costs.

the District Court's Judgment.

Since this judgment was declared by the district court, Tami Pierce's election website has been put on a dangerous website list and declared a malware website. Nord VPN picks this Election Website up as a Malware Website, which we found to be untrue. Talk about dirty tricks by the left. This wreaks desperation by the Jones administration and/or his affiliates.
